Thomson Reuters Practical Law™ Publishes Attorney Michael Corso’s Updated Florida Drone Laws Guide Fort Myers, Florida — Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that attorney and aerospace engineer Michael Corso was published by Thomson Reuters in October of 2022. His updated article titled “Florida Drone Laws: Overview” is now available in the Thomson Reuters Practical Law™ resource center for lawyers. Corso is often requested to present, “Rise of the Drones: Current UAV/UAS Law Landscape” in which he discusses the laws around drone safety campaigns, FAA drone regulations and enforcement, federal and state legislation, and Fourth Amendment protections. He has presented to such agencies as the international Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (“FDCC”), the Florida Engineering Society, and the Rotary Club of Naples. Corso’s article, “An Architect’s Guide to Using Drones” was also published by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Corso has been Florida Bar Board Certified in Civil Trial Law for over 35 years and over 20 years in Business Litigation Law. In 2022, Corso received the Justice Harry Lee Anstead Award for the “Florida Bar Board Certified Lawyer of the Year.” His practice is heavily centered on the defense of non-medical professionals (including lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers and surveyors), copyright/trademark infringement, product liability and tobacco litigation. In addition, Corso is the former chair of the firm’s Tort and Insurance Litigation department.
