In-person D-SNAP Events for Collier County Residents The Department of Children & Families will hold in-person D-SNAP events for Collier County residents who cannot participate by phone. D-SNAP event dates & times: Distribution days: November 6, 7, & 9, 2022 Closed on November 8 due to election day Operation hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must be in the tent by 5 p.m. to be provided same-day service. Collier location: Paradise Coast Sports Complex (South Lawn and Parking area) located at 3940 City Gate Blvd. S., Naples Transportation coordination Collier Area Transit will provide a free bus shuttle service to the site from the overflow parking at FSW-Collier Campus Collier Area Transit will also provide free transportation to D-SNAP from the CAT transfer station at 8300 Radio Road People riding the bus from home will take a ride to the transfer station and board a free shuttle from there to D-SNAP Who is eligible for D-SNAP? To qualify for D-SNAP benefits: Applicants must NOT be receiving regular SNAP benefits Applicants must have been living or working in a disaster-declared county at the time of Hurricane Ian Applicants must have suffered a disaster-related loss Damage to their home(s) or self-employment property Loss of food Reduction or loss of income Other disaster-related expenses Applicants must meet financial eligibility requirements What Benefits are available through D-SNAP? Eligible recipients who participate in the telephonic D-SNAP event will receive an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card by mail that can be used to purchase food at authorized USDA food retailers The EBT card cannot be used for alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or non-food items How do I apply for D-SNAP? Pre-register online by visiting MyFLFamilies.com/DSNAP Pre-registration is ONLY available for counties designated in each phase. Curfew Enacted for Parts of Collier County and the City of Naples There will be a mandatory county curfew in effect from midnight, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., for all incorporated and unincorporated areas south and west of U.S. 41. There will be a mandatory curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for residential areas within the City of Naples. The curfew is enacted nightly through the weekend. This curfew does not apply to the City of Marco Island and the City of Everglades. The purpose of the curfew is to protect the safety of the citizens of Collier County and their property as they begin the process of recovering from the effects of Hurricane Ian. The curfew does not apply to emergency responders, employees at healthcare facilities, critical staff for businesses that provide essential services, or those seeking medical assistance.
