New (Temporary) Location: Collier Museum at Government Center 3315 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112 Hours of Operation: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily Dates of Operation: Tuesday, November 8 – Sunday, November 13 Soft Opening Date/Time: November 7, after 1:00 p.m. Starting November 14, after 1:00 pm, the DRC will relocate from the Collier Museum to the Donna Fiala Community Center, 11565 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34113, and will be open from 9 a.m.to 6 p.m., until further notice. Disaster Recovery Centers provide disaster survivors with information from Florida state agencies, FEMA, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Survivors can get help applying for federal assistance, learn about the types of assistance available, learn about the appeals process and get updates on applications. Free Rides on CAT on Saturday, November 5 For The Last Day of Early Voting in Collier County Collier Area Transit (CAT) has partnered with the Collier County Supervisor of Elections to offer free rides on Saturday, November 5, 2022, on both fixed-route and paratransit service for the last day of early voting in Collier County. Or, for CAT Connect paratransit service, schedule your ride to the voting polls at least 24 hours in advance. Collier Area Transit Providing Free Shuttle to Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program at Paradise Coast Sports Complex Sunday, Nov. 6, Monday, Nov. 7 and Wednesday, Nov. 9 7 a. m. to 6 p.m. All aboard the free Collier Area Transit (CAT) shuttle for anyone interested in the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) event at Paradise Coast Sports Complex next week. CAT, in partnership with the Department of Children and Families, will provide the free shuttle service on Sunday, Nov. 6, Monday, Nov. 7 and Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 7 a. m. to 6 p.m. between the CAT transfer station at 8300 Radio Road and the event site and between overflow parking located at the Florida Southwestern State College (FSW) Collier campus and the event site. All interested can catch a CAT bus nearest to their location, to get to the transfer station, where they can then board the CAT bus to the D-SNAP event. Those who have lost vehicles or had their cars damaged due to Hurricane Ian may find this service especially helpful. Plus, by riding the bus to the event site riders can avoid the vehicular traffic expected at the event. The bus will shuttle back to the Transfer Station for catching a bus home as well. If traffic volume at the event is very heavy, plans call for diverting traffic to an overflow parking area at the Florida Southwestern State College (FSW) Collier campus at Grand Lely Drive and Lely Cultural Parkway, which is 6.5 miles away. CAT will also provide a shuttle bus from the overflow parking to the D-SNAP site at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex and back again afterwards. D-SNAP provides food assistance for individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Ian and are not receiving food assistance benefits through the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Curfew Enacted for Parts of Collier County and the City of Naples There will be a mandatory county curfew in effect from midnight, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., for all incorporated and unincorporated areas south and west of U.S. 41. There will be a mandatory curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for residential areas within the City of Naples. This curfew does not apply to the City of Marco Island and the City of Everglades. The purpose of the curfew is to protect the safety of the citizens of Collier County and their property as they begin the process of recovering from the effects of Hurricane Ian. The curfew does not apply to emergency responders, employees at healthcare facilities, critical staff for businesses that provide essential services, or those seeking medical assistance. Violation of the curfew is a second-degree misdemeanor.
