Naples Chamber to host ‘Meet Our New Managers’ Wake Up Naples on September 20th NAPLES, FL (September 13, 2022) — Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Meet Our New Managers on September 20, 2022, from 7:30am to 9am at Hilton Naples. Amy Patterson, Collier County Manager, and Jay Boodheshwar, City Manager, will speak to their visions followed by questions and answers moderated by Michael Dalby, CEO and President of Greater Naples Chamber. The event is sponsored by Healthcare Network. Amy Patterson has dedicated herself to public service in Collier County for more than two decades. She has served as Deputy County Manager since May 2021, was named Acting County Manager a year later, and in June 2022, was unanimously selected as County Manager. Born and raised in Naples, Patterson began her career in Collier County Government in 2000 as a job-bank employee in the Growth Management Department. She worked diligently, gaining valuable experience serving as Fiscal/Impact Fee Analyst, Impact Fee Coordinator, and Director of Capital Project Planning, Impact Fees & Program Management. As Deputy County Manager, Patterson was responsible for oversight of the daily operations of the County agency. As County Manager, Patterson oversees a net adopted budget of $1.8 billion and 2,164 employees. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, belongs to several professional organizations, and is a frequent guest lecturer throughout the community, the state, and around the country. Patterson is focused on managing county operations with maximum efficiency, transparency, and accountability. She is the first woman to serve as County Manager in Collier County. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, dine, and learn about the different regional economic indicators such as airport passenger activity, taxable sales, labor force and unemployment, and more. Jay Boodheshwar currently serves the City of Naples, Florida as the City Manager. Before beginning his service to the City of Naples in May 2022, Boodheshwar served in various leadership roles for the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, the City of Massillon, Ohio, the City of East Chicago, Indiana, the City of Bloomington, Indiana, and the Town of Munster, Indiana. His public service experience in local government spans over 27 years, with 23 years in senior management roles. He has also held volunteer leadership roles with numerous non-profits and professional associations. Boodheshwar grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Administration from Bowling Green State University. He also began his graduate studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, and finished at Florida Atlantic University with a master’s degree in Public Administration. Boodheshwar has been very active in numerous professional and non-profit organizations. He is an active member of the International City Management Association and the Florida City and County Management Association. He is a past President of the Palm Beach County City Management Association. He is currently a trustee on the board of directors of Oxbridge Academy High School, a private day school founded by philanthropist William I. Koch. He is also the past chairman and a current executive committee board member for the Town of Palm Beach United Way. The cost to attend is $30 for members and $40 for future members or walk-ins.
