Amanda Pearson Speaker at National Leadership Conference Naples, FL (August 30, 2022) – Amanda Pearson, Vice President of Leadership Programs with the Leadership Collier Foundation (LCF) of the Greater Naples Chamber, presented at the National Conference of Association of Leadership Professionals in Orlando, Florida at the Rosen Plaza Hotel. Pearson covered strategies to manage robust alumni association through alumni volunteers. The conference, called “Experience the Magic in Community Leadership,” gave 180 conference attendees the opportunity to connect with fellow leadership professionals and attend workshops to learn things like how to increase alumni retention, leading with intention, and diversity equity & inclusion for community innovation. Speakers included Leadership professionals who are making big strides in their own organizations as well as keynote speakers Dr. Keita Joy and Annetta Wilson. Pearson spoke on, “Strategies to Manage Robust Alumni Associations Through Alumni Volunteers,” including discussions on targeting and engaging the alumni through their specific passions and abilities. Pearson also manages the LCF’s “matching needs” initiative, funded by a grant from the Richard M. Schultze Family Foundation, aimed at matching LCF Alumni to volunteer, community leadership positions to focus on the LCF’s mission of “activating the potential of leaders to build a stronger Collier County.” Pearson manages all the Foundation’s leadership programs and initiatives focused on community leadership. The LCF’s Alumni Association has over 2,000 graduates to date comprised from its programs: Leadership Collier, Associate Leadership Collier, and Youth Leadership Collier. Pearson also serves as the primary alumni association director for programming and initiatives, and liaison for the Foundation’s Advisory Council. Pearson led the strategic planning for the LCF and oversees its current implementation. With over 9 years of experience managing the Leadership Collier Foundation, Pearson is focused on expanding the Leadership Collier Foundation, most recently with Engage Collier, a program to educate large employers or targeted groups of working professionals and continues to expand its work with community leadership.
