Avow Receives Naples Children & Education Foundation Grant for Youth Bereavement Services Naples, Fla. (July 18, 2022) – Avow Hospice, Inc. has received an $85,000 grant from the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF), founders of the Naples Winter Wine Festival, to support its youth bereavement programs. “There is an incredible need in our community to provide bereavement support for children,” said Jaysen Roa, president and CEO of Avow companies. “Avow Kids offer services for children who are experiencing a loss and having a hard time handling emotions. With children, this might include the death of a family member or friend, divorce, instability in the foster care system, deportation, incarceration, or other major events that trigger feelings of loss or grief. We have an expert team at Avow to improve the quality of life for hundreds of children.” Avow Kids has been providing bereavement services for children ages 5-17 years old for nearly 40 years. Offering support and companionship to children who are grieving or dealing with complex emotions. Support is in the form of in-school workshops, individual one-on-one sessions, family groups, day and overnight camps and special activities. All Avow Kids services are offered at no cost, and are presented in-person. About Avow Avow was founded in 1983 as Collier County's original nonprofit hospice.
