Naples Woman’s Club awards grant to St. Vincent de Paul Naples Funds in the amount of $19,600 were given to assist our local elderly and less fortunate through the SVdP Meals On Wheels and Choice Food Pantry programs. [Naples, April 21, 2022]. Collier County locals needing assistance obtaining food for themselves and their families can breathe a little easier, thanks to the very generous grant awarded to SVdP Naples by the Naples Woman’s Club. “The grant includes $9,600 for Meals On Wheels and $10,000 for our Choice Food Pantry,” said Carl Monticelli, Director of Development for SVdP. “And it could not have come at a better time, with inflation being so high.” The Naples Woman’s Club (NWC) was founded in 1932 and has raised over $3,000,000 to support local charities and scholarship funds. NWC was a significant contributor to the early development of the city of Naples, including founding the first library, the creation of the Garden Club, and the development of Youth Haven, a youth shelter. About St. Vincent de Paul Naples SVdP is the largest Meals On Wheels facilitator in Collier County, providing over 150 meals daily, and supplying over 54,000 meals annually, to our low-income, homebound seniors. Just a few more services provided by SVdP Naples include Financial Aid to the Needy, Life Skills classes, Aid to the Homeless.
