Pace Center for Girls – Collier at Immokalee Promotes Jama Thurman to Social Services Manager Pace Center for Girls is excited to announce that Jama Thurman has been promoted to Social Services Manager. Thurman joined Pace as Therapist in the Collier at Immokalee center in 2019. In her new role of Social Services Manager, Thurman will lead a team of therapists and counselors at the center, providing critical mental health therapy to the Pace girls. Thurman will also lead the development of Pace’s Reach program which will expand Pace’s footprint into east Naples/Naples area, “Teenagers need mental health services now more than ever. I really love making a difference and helping girls with trauma learn new coping skills,” shared Thurman. “I am looking forward to positively impacting more girls through our team of therapists and counselors. I enjoy working at Pace because we are focused on strengths. Since we have a caseload of 20 girls, we are able to spend more time with each girl and meet her needs more quickly.” Marianne Kearns, Executive Director of Pace added, “We are so proud of Jama and the work she does with the girls. She is very deserving of this new role and look for her to be a catalyst to grow the number of girls we are able to serve each year.” With the promotion of Thurman, Pace Center for Girls, Collier at Immokalee has openings for both therapists and counselors at the center in Immokalee and in Naples.
