With travel limited to the living room for most Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has developed a new advertising campaign focused on inspiration and launched Paradise in Place, a digital hub for those missing the sights, sounds and spirit of southwest Florida. The new campaign, We Aren’t Going Anywhere, showcases the natural beauty of the destination alongside inspirational and motivational messaging. The short videos are currently airing on social media and streaming devices throughout drive markets within the state, as well as major markets in the southeast including Atlanta, Ga. and, Charlotte, N.C. In addition to the new advertising assets, Paradise in Place was developed as a feature on the county tourism’s website, www.paradisecoast.com, that enables would-be travelers to get a variety of virtual experience on Florida’s Paradise Coast, including: • Virtual Tours & More: Some of the county’s top attractions have experiences available to be explored virtually, and cultural institutions like Gulfshore Playhouse are sharing backstage secrets in a series of discussions. Kids can learn more about the community with interactive programming available from Naples Historical Society, Rookery Bay and the Naples Botanical Garden. • Beach Webcams: With more than 10 live beach cams throughout Naples and Marco Island, consumers can keep the links handy when they need a quick trip to the beach. • Shop & Eat: A regularly updated listing of restaurants offering delivery and takeout throughout Naples and at the Celebration Park Food Trucks. • Get Outdoors: Several tour operators are offering private rentals of kayaks, paddle boards, boats and fishing & sightseeing tours. Visitors to the site can learn more and book directly with each business activity. Those in need of a sunset can tune in to the CVB’s Facebook Page (@theparadisecoast) every Sunday and Wednesday at approximately 7:40 p.m., for a spectacular performance by Mother Nature over the Gulf of Mexico. “With Paradise in Place and We Aren’t Going Anywhere messaging, our focus is keeping our locals and would-be travelers informed and entertained,” said Naples, Marco Island, Everglades CVB Executive Director Jack Wert. “We not only want to provide a virtual escape, but also be a resource. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to visit soon.”
