The Naples Players (TNP) will host its third live online concert Saturday, April 25 at 7 p.m. via Facebook Live, YouTube Live and streaming on their website at NaplesPlayers.org/LIVE. The concert is part of a series the theatre has developed entitled "Naples In Residence: Aid for the Arts" concerts which feature local performers doing live shows right from their homes. This Saturday features actress, comedian, and theatre veteran Suzanne Sole in "The Stay Home Cabaret." The concert series was created in an effort to keep residents entertained safely at home in response to the current COVID-19 crisis. It also serves to bring awareness and aid to the non-profit theatre that has experienced significant losses in revenues since temporarily closing their doors on March 13th. "For every night of canceled performances we are facing up to $15,000 in losses because of a pause in ticket sales and refunds," said Executive Artistic Director Bryce Alexander. "We are one of the only venues honoring refund requests; but we are also encouraging patrons to turn their tickets into a tax-deductible donation to TNP." The first two concerts held March 28th and April 15th have been viewed more than 10,000 times in the past few weeks and have raised roughly $7,000 for the theatre. The concert events are free to watch but continued donations are encouraged.
