Moran Wealth Management, an investment management practice based in Naples, Florida that serves sophisticated investors with personalized and customizable strategies, is pleased to announce that Tom Moran -- the founder, chief executive officer and senior PIM portfolio manager of Moran Wealth Management – was named to the Forbes 2020 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list as the #1 advisor in South Florida. This year’s Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors list spotlights more than 4,000 top advisors across the country who were nominated by their firms—and then researched, interviewed and assigned a ranking within their respective states and markets. The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes or SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings. “I am honored to have been named a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor again and am especially proud to have been ranked #1 in South Florida,” said Moran. “My team and I strive each day to provide the very best investment and retirement planning for our clients, and this recognition by the world’s leading business publication, I believe, is a wonderful reflection and acknowledgement of that.” A trusted financial advisor for over 30 years, Moran has received local, national, and industry recognition in the financial services industry. In addition to most recently being named to Barron’s1 2019 Top 100 Independent Wealth Advisors List (the only advisor in the State of Florida and ranked #13 in the country by Barron’s), he was named to Forbes2 magazine’s 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Top Wealth Advisor lists, and in 2019 was ranked #1 in the State of Florida. He was also named a 2018 Five Star Wealth Manager3 as seen in Gulfshore Life magazine. Barron’s1 also included him in the 2018 Top 100 Wealth Advisors in the United States and Top 1,200 Advisors in the United States, a state-by-state ranking of which Moran was selected as #1 Advisor in Florida. He was also named to 2018 Financial Times’4 list of the Top 400 Financial Advisors list; as one of Naples Illustrated 2017 Super Men5; named to the 2016 Top 100 Wirehouse Advisors6 list for the third time by WealthManagement.com 2013-2016; and in 2016 earned the Invest in Others Community Leadership Award. In 2015, he was named one of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation’s Southwest Florida Faces of Philanthropy and to one of Naples Daily News’ 25 Over 507 Award recipients. Moran’s experience and solid reputation as a knowledgeable professional in his field have made him a reliable source for various media outlets.
