Admission is free-of-charge with donations appreciated. Under the direction of Harris Lanzel and sponsored by UBS Financial Services, the Naples Concert Band will kick off 2020 with a concert featuring Naples Philharmonic violinist Glenn Basham and vocalist Jodi Keogan. Basham will premiere a special arrangement of Sinatra songs written by Lou Del Gatto as well as the showy Vittorio Monti “Csardas.” Keogan, performing for the first time with the NCB, is sure to impress with “Habanera” from Carmen and Lerner and Loewe’s “I Could Have Danced All Night.” The NCB Trumpet section will also be called to the front of the stage to be featured in the challenging “Summit” by John Moss. Offenbach’s “Overture to La Belle Helene,” Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries,” Steven Bulla’s arrangement of “Selections from the Great Race” and other compositions will also be performed by the popular 90-plus member band during the concert. “We look forward to kicking off the New Year and celebrating with the community as we all enjoy this incredible lineup of talent and music,” said Harris Lanzel, Naples Concert Band’s music director and conductor. The Naples Concert Band is a nonprofit organization dedicated to entertaining the community with enriching Sunday Concerts in the Park. Its 48th season includes powerful soloists and unforgettable music with seven regular concerts in the park and one special Saturday Concert in the Park. Admission to all Naples Concert Band performances is free, with donations appreciated. Donations received at each concert help defray expenses and help with The Band's Scholarship Fund, which has provided over $120,000 in scholarships to student band members since its inception in 1984.
