David Lawrence Center (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and addiction recovery treatment center serving children, adults and families, announced the DLC Young Executives will host an Elevate Wellness Boot Camp on Dec. 7, 2019 from 8:30 - 10 a.m. at Creekside Corners, located at 1514 Immokalee Road in Naples.
The DLC Young Executives, a group of young professionals dedicated to networking for a cause and supporting the mission of DLC, has once again partnered with Coach Nino Magaddino and his team of elite fitness and wellness consultants at Max Flex Fitness for this Elevate Wellness event.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the Boot Camp starting at 9 a.m. The class is open to all community members and fitness levels.
This is third annual Boot Camp in the Elevate Wellness Series, which aims to elevate personal health and wellbeing through physical activity, while also promoting awareness of and support for DLC’s mental health and substance use disorder treatment. Previous Elevate Wellness events have also included healthy cooking demonstrations as well as yoga and indoor cycling classes. The DLC Young Executives have committed to hosting quarterly Elevate Wellness events each year.
Proceeds from the Elevate Boot Camp will benefit the holistic services provided to adults in the Crossroads inpatient detox and residential treatment programs. The Crossroads Addiction Recovery Treatment program empowers individuals to heal from addiction by offering comprehensive and holistic treatment using the most innovative treatment methods available. The evidence-based wellness services utilized in Crossroads include physical training, yoga, meditation, pet and equine therapy as well as art therapy. They are not funded by insurance and rely on donations.
