Naples Art is holding a back-to-school supply drive and pencil-messaging event for students in need Monday, August 5th from 10AM – 2PM, at their downtown Naples location, 585 Park St, Naples, FL 34102. In the spirit of our giving, artistic community, participants are encouraged to bring new #2 pencils on which they can write inspiring messages for students to read as they start the new school year. Sharpies, coffee and snacks will be provided. Inspired by teacher Amanda Cox’s Facebook post gone viral, suggested messages on the pencils could include “You are amazing!”, “Never give up!”, and “This will be a great year!”. Every student deserves to start the school year right, and in the spirit of our caring community, an inspiring message is the extra magic that Naples Art hopes to deliver to students in need. Please bring school supplies and art-related school supplies to the Naples Art pencil messaging event, or drop them off at the Naples Art building anytime now through August 7th. All supplies will be delivered to an underserved elementary school in Collier County.
