NAPLES, Fla. – The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (C’mon) has welcomed Dena Rae Hancock as its ?rst Chief Advancement Officer. When asked about joining the C’mon team, Hancock said, “I’m thrilled to be joining a team of such passionate professionals providing such a forwarding-thinking rem of a children’s museum to SW Florida.” Hancock recently moved to Naples, Florida from Indianapolis, Indiana where she was highly involved in the Indiana philanthropic community. She is a talented professional fundraiser and leadership development expert with broad experience in the education sector. She’s been Vice President of Institutional Advancement for Marian University and executive director of the Indiana Essential Schools Network as well as the Indiana Campus Compact. Her volunteer work for the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township includes serving as President of the School Foundation and Advancement Center, chairing the successful campaign to pass a general-fund referendum and numerous school board campaigns. Hancock served as youth director for Hope Evangelical Church and has been a long time volunteer with the Young Life organization. Hancock is a proud of alumna of Indiana University in Bloomington in Indiana. She then began her career at the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy as a research associate focusing on Service Learning. Hancock continues to be an active alumna serving as an o?cer in IU’s Varsity Club and Women’s Philanthropic Leadership Council.
