NAPLES, FL– January 10, 2019 – Pathways Early Education Center of Immokalee (Pathways) is welcoming Brandon Dowdy as Director of Development. In his current role at Pathways, Dowdy will cultivate new relationships to help give the children of Immokalee the best possible start in life through education, literacy, and school readiness. Dowdy brings over 25-years of non-profit leadership to the organization, but more importantly a passion for advancing new initiatives. He and Beth Hatch, Pathways’ Executive Director, have a demonstrated track record of improving child care services in Collier County. While working together at The Greater Naples YMCA, they launched the Gaynor Early Learning Center. At the time, the center had 260 students and scored in the top 25 percent in the state for school readiness. “We’re excited to have another great addition to our growing team. Brandon brings valuable leadership, vision, and commitment to helping improve the lives of the children we serve,” said Hatch. In 1999, Dowdy earned his master’s degree in Human Services Administration. Recognized as the top-revenue producing executive director, Dowdy was promoted to CEO in 2009, developing a vision for the YMCA that has left a lasting impact on our community. He has helped advance the mission of the Guadalupe Center, YMCA of West Central Illinois, as well as Meals of Hope. He is also a graduate of Leadership Collier, class of 2009. Pathways was originally founded 55 years ago as the Immokalee Child Care Center to provide nurturing childcare to the children of migrant farmworkers. Today, Pathways is a nationally accredited center providing early learning and individualized instruction to 122 children ranging from four-weeks to five-years old.
