Naples, FL – 10/10/18 – The Neighborhood Health Clinic (Clinic), a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization providing Collier County’s working, uninsured resident’s affordable medical and dental care, welcomes Dr. Alejandro D. Perez and Marti van Veen to the charity’s Board of Directors, effective October 1, 2018. Chief Medical Officer for Millenium South West Florida Physicians Group, Dr. Alejandro D. Perez established his practice as a Naples Internist in 2006. He currently serves on the Executive Board for Collier County Medial Society and is a Delegate with the Florida Medical Association House of Delegates, as well as participating in additional boards and committees. His prior experience includes nearly two decades of work at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and Weston, FL. System Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Physicians Regional Healthcare System since 2015, Marti Van Veen is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is active in multiple service organizations throughout the greater Naples area. Prior to her current role, Van Veen was the System Director of Business Development, Strategy and Marketing at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. She has more than 25 years of healthcare management experience, and is passionate about working with local organizations that assist individuals with their medical needs. Perez and van Veen join the Clinic’s 18-member Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 year in supporting the Clinic’s mission to deliver quality medical and dental care to low-income, working but uninsured Collier County adults, using a volunteer professional staff in a caring and supportive environment. The Board also helps determine, review and approve major policies. Board members attend and participate in fundraising events, programs and activities. The Board supports the nonprofit’s staff and approximately 250 physicians, 42 dentists, 100 nurses and 300 non-medical personnel donating their expertise to provide more than 10,000 patient visits and in excess of 27,065 patient procedures (2017) annually for Collier County men and women in-need.
