Naples, FL – 8/15/18 – The Neighborhood Health Clinic – a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization providing Collier County’s low income, working, uninsured residents medical and dental care – is pleased to announce that the Naples Italian American Foundation (NIAF) raised $6,000 to support women’s healthcare services. “We’re so grateful because these funds help us to save lives and transform our community,” explains Clinic Co-Founder Nancy Lascheid. “Through support from NIAF and individuals like Dr. Carmine Errico, who is a member of the NIAF and a loyal volunteer of the Clinic, we’re able to continue providing the highest quality medical and dental care for Collier County’s uninsured workers.” Members and guests of the Naples Italian American Foundation raised funds through frequent mahjongg events and tournaments. The $6,000 check was presented to Lascheid during a ceremony held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at the Clinic. The NIAF is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and operates as a service organization. Its mission and objectives include celebrating, promoting and preserving Italian culture and heritage in Collier County by sponsoring and hosting events, promoting Italian language studies, enhancing educational excellence among Italian American students, supporting community nonprofit organizations and more.
