Pathways Early Education is the longest running childcare and education center in Immokalee. Opened in 1962, their goal is to give children the best possible start in life through education, literacy and school readiness programs. Pathways is a nationally accredited early education center through The National Accreditation Commission (NAC) for Early Care and Education Programs. Pathways Early Education operates year-round to serve the families of Immokalee, most living at or below poverty levels. They are currently serving over 100 children, ranging in age from one month to five years of age. Blessings in a Backpack of SWFL mobilizes communities, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school in Southwest Florida that might otherwise go hungry. Every Friday afternoon, children receive backpacks filled with kid-friendly, ready-to-eat items. Students return every Monday morning with an empty backpack, a full stomach, and an eager mind. In the schools they work with in Lee and Collier County, test scores, reading skills, positive behavior, general health, and attendance have improved dramatically as a result of children getting the nourishment they need. Headquartered in Naples, Florida, First Florida Integrity Bank currently has seven full-service offices and $1.4 billion in assets as of March 31, 2018.
