A check presentation was made at the February 27 meeting of the Collier County Board of County Commissioners. The concert was supported by a $125,000 donation of Collier County Tourist Development Tax funds along with donations from many other area sponsors. “This concert was a chance for residents and visitors to celebrate the area’s recovery and raise money for those in the community that still needed help,” said Jack Wert, executive director of the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau. “This money really helps a lot,” said Everglades City Mayor Howie Grimm.
