NAPLES, Fla. (Feb. 14, 2018)—The 2018 Face Award winners have been selected and will be honored at the upcoming Face Awards luncheon, presented by Gulfshore Business and D’Latinos magazines and title sponsor Fifth Third Bank, to be held on April 5 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs. This year’s winners are: Large company, DeAngelis Diamond Construction; small business, TwinCutz hair salon and barber shop; medical, Dr. Carlos M. Mendez, Elite Kidney Care; nonprofit, Kathryn Kelly, The Heights Foundation; education, Bethany Quisenberry, principal, Franklin Park Elementary School; arts and culture, Casandra Ruanova-Cordero, chair, Saint Ann Catholic Church Latino Contemporary Art Action. The Face Awards recognize businesses and outstanding individuals who reflect and celebrate positive values and the ethnic and racial diversity within the Southwest Florida community. Now in its seventh year, the event has become a celebration of unity and inclusion while honoring those being awarded. This year, the awards will be included in our inaugural Face Diversity Summit, an all-day schedule of seminars and discussions that will focus on diversity and how it contributes to successful business practices and employee well-being. Participants in the summit will include executives and experts from national and local firms. Companies and organizations represented will include Pandora, Lee Health, Barron Collier Cos., Goodwill Industries of SWFL and more. Tickets are: $240 for the full-day Summit—all seminars, and includes Face Awards luncheon with one individual seat and one ticket for Celebration of Colors party. $150 for the Face Awards luncheon with one individual seat. $100 for the full-day Summit, all seminars; does not include luncheon seat or Celebration of Colors party. $35 for the full-day Summit—all seminars, for students presenting a valid student ID; does not include luncheon seat or Celebration of Colors party.
