Marco Island, January 16, 2018: Marco Island Center for the Arts and the Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation from Lac Du Flambeau, WI are pleased to present a Mid-Winter Arts Festival on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm. There is no charge to attend but you must RSVP by calling 239-394-4221. The Festival will be held at Marco Island Center for the Arts, 1010 Winterberry Drive. Highlights of the day include David R. Becker presenting “The Most Important Watercolor Workshop” at 12:15 pm; and at 1:45pm Hannah Ineson will discuss “Illustrated Watercolor Journaling” and select two assistants from the audience; David R. Becker will be the final presenter at 3:15 on “Heavy Bodied and Fluid Acrylics Demonstrated Together.” Artist Rose Edin’s video “Making the Most of Watercolor” will be showing in The Art Center’s Studio A. She will not be present, however; there will be a drawing of her beautiful watercolor prints. There will also be a silent auction of original art work, and artist’s books and videos by internationally celebrated artists. On the hour a door prize will be awarded. Proceeds from the silent auction will support scholarships to the renowned northern WI arts foundation.
