Naples, Fla. (Aug 7, 2017) – The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Jenna Buzzacco-Foerster has joined The GNCC as the new Public Policy Specialist and will start Aug. 14. She will work with all levels of government on policy issues of importance to the Chamber leadership and membership, helping extend the “voice of business” in Collier County and beyond. The Chamber’s top two public policy issues – workforce housing and workforce development – will be key focus issues for this position. “Jenna’s background in journalism and public policy will be a great strength to our Chamber team. We are very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Jenna’s talent to fulfill this role,” says Michael Dalby, President and CEO of The GNCC. For the past two years, Jenna has served as a politics and policy reporter at FloridaPolitics.com, a statewide new media company focused on campaigns, elections and government in Florida. While there, she helped launch two successful email newsletters and covered a variety of issues at the statewide level. “I am excited about the chance to work with Chamber leadership and members to make Collier County an even better place to work and live for everyone,” says Jenna. Previously, she was a reporter for the Naples Daily News, covering the City of Naples, Collier County government and the Florida Legislature during her nearly 10-year tenure. At the paper, she also covered issues important to Collier residents, including K-12 and higher education, economic development, tourism, and growth. A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Jenna graduated with a degree in journalism from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She lives in Collier County with her husband, Jonathan Foerster, who is communications director for Artis—Naples. ### About The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization of more than 1,600 active members that works to strengthen the local economy and promote the business community.
