CSN Appoints New Head of Upper School (Naples, FL) (July 10, 2023) After a national search process and extensive interviews with the Senior Leadership Team, parents, students, and the Upper School Leadership Team at Community School of Naples, Dr. Thomas D. McGlinn has been appointed as Head of Upper School starting in July 2023. Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. McGlinn was most recently Associate Head of School at Admiral Farragut Academy in St Petersburg, FL, a position he held for eight years. He has also held senior administrative and teaching positions at St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Augustine, FL and at Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers. Dr. McGlinn holds a B.S. in Business Management from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, a Master of Counseling from McDaniel College in Maryland, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Barry University in Miami, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from North Central University in Arizona. CSN also announced three promotions: Mr. Brooks Fleming will be the Assistant Head of Upper School. Mr. Fleming has been the Dean of Academics at the school for the past six years. His new responsibilities will include those of Dean of Academics, but will be broader and deeper in scope. He will provide support and institutional knowledge as number two to Dr. McGlinn in the coming school year. Mrs. Franchesca Whiting has been promoted to Director of Admissions & Marketing. Her career at CSN began in 2014 as Administrative Assistant, quickly moving up to Admissions Officer. Most recently she was Assistant Director of Admissions & Marketing. Mrs. Leigh Stasik has been promoted to Assistant Head of Middle School (Academics). She has been a Middle School history teacher at CSN since 2017. Community School of Naples, the largest PreK-12 independent school in Collier County, was established in 1982. CSN offers a rigorous college preparatory program, and 100 percent of its seniors attend select four-year colleges and universities. The school is located on a 77-acre campus in North Naples.
