Rebekah Telfer Joins Champions For Learning as Director of Annual Giving (June 14, 2023- Naples, FL) Champions For Learning is pleased to announce that Rebekah Telfer has joined the Champions For Learning staff this month as the organization’s first Director of Annual Giving. In this role, Rebekah will develop and execute strategies for maintaining and improving annual sustainability by successfully securing charitable gifts and working with donors who provide financial support to Champions For Learning on an on-going, annual basis. Rebekah will also be responsible for executing a robust grants program that focuses on not only strengthening relationships with existing funders, but developing new opportunities for funding the work of Champions For Learning. “We are very excited to have someone with the skills and experience that Ms. Telfer possesses join our growing Champions For Learning team and secure further funding helping expand the mission and reach of Champions For Learning,” states Barbara Evans, President and CEO. “Serving as a catalyst for education success by investing in Collier’s students and educators is only possible through the financial help of our community.” Originally from Cooperstown, New York, Rebekah has over eight years of fundraising experience and nearly 12 years of writing experience. Rebekah comes to Champions For Learning from the Harry Chapin Food Bank where she worked as the Grants Manager. During her time there, Rebekah prepared, submitted, and managed all grant proposals for the Food Bank as well as helped prepare budgets and grant proposals to ensure adherence to all federal and state regulations.
